Tammy Cooper Appointed President of Nitto Avecia
Nitto Avecia has named Tammy Cooper as its new President, effective June 21, 2024 — making her the first woman to hold the role in the company’s history. Cooper brings nearly two decades of experience at Nitto Avecia, having risen through roles in marketing, business development, and project management, most recently serving as Vice President of Business Development.
She steps into the presidency alongside newly appointed Executive Chairman Yoshihiko Terada, as outgoing President Seiji Fujioka transitions to a Corporate Executive Vice President role at parent company Nitto Denko Corporation.
Both leaders will be based at Nitto Avecia’s headquarters in Milford, MA, and are focused on capitalizing on the growing demand for oligonucleotide therapeutics.
